Summary:

Warrington Borough Council (the Council) requires a Supplier to work with the council to achieve the following:
Validate and build a ?Windows 7? image containing basic business applications deployable via MDT;
Create and validate a series of group policy settings with adherence to necessary compliance required by national and local government;
Test and prove that the image can be deployed via MDT to any of several target devices ensuring required drivers are deployed at the same time;
Test the group policies on the image to ensure a consistent and acceptable end user experience.
The Council requirement covers a phased approach to achieve the final end-goal to enable WBC to deliver ?Windows 7? in a repeatable manner within a structured end-user environment. This will be made up from a validated Group Policy rule set implemented; allowing ?Windows 7? ?to be deployed in a secure, locked down manner, whilst retaining as many of the new ?User centric? ?Windows? features as possible.
The Council also requires a validated ?Windows 7? image to ensure it meets government compliance requirement, i.e. GCF, PCi-dss etc.
The Council will look to select the company offering the best value proposal based on price and the response to the specification ? available to suppliers who ?Login and Register Interest? in this opportunity.? The Council does not bind itself to select the lowest bid nor any tender received.? The Council?s decision shall be final.
