Devin Street, of Liberty High School, will return for senior season at Pitt after considering NFL Draft

Liberty High School graduate Devin Street will return to the University of Pittsburgh football team for his senior season after considering the NFL Draft.

The wide receiver announced his decision tonight via Twitter.

"My heart is at Pitt and with my teammates," Street wrote. "I want to grow as a person and player. Therefore I'll be staying my senior year."

Street, a member of the Hurricanes' 2008 state championship team, led Pitt with 73 receptions this past season, tallying 975 yards and five touchdowns.

Street has 151 career receptions for 2,047 yards. He needs 28 more receptions to stand alone as the Panthers' leader in career receptions and 1,015 yards to lead in career receiving yardage.

Wednesday it was revealed that Street would serve 40 hours of community service in order to reduce simple assault and criminal conspiracy charges to a summary offense. The charges stem from a November incident.

Pitt will play its first season in the Atlantic Coast Conference in the fall.
