Beauty And A Beat & Peace And Love - BODYROCK.tv | Fitness ...

Not all of us are lucky enough to have the people that surround us be supportive of our choice to train. Resistance can come in many forms. If you make the decision in your life to make a shift towards fitness it can dredge up all kinds of emotional reactions in those around you. As crazy as it seems, many people take it as a judgement on how they are living their lives. If you cut back on foods and activities that do not support your training they can take it as a real judgement call. Often they will react with anger and resentment ? sometimes they will make hurtful comments barely veiled as jokes ? other times they will plead with you to fall off of the wagon and join them in participating in the old habits that you are working so hard to overcome each day.

The real pain in all of this tho is when we sell ourselves short and don?t stand up for what we believe in and what we want. It takes discipline to BodyRock in the first place, but it takes courage to stand up for what you believe is right in the face of taunts and pressure. The inner strength to support yourself is a muscle that will get stronger with time. Be steadfast and enjoy getting stronger from the inside out.

Best,

Freddy
